Supervised community employment options are provided in work enclaves (group work opportunities) at work sites throughout Franklin County. Individuals receive training and employment under the direct supervision of staff of the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

Support for independent community employment is provided for individuals with mental retardation or other developmental disabilities, who are employed by community employers, rather than ARC Industries. Staff help individuals find jobs, they assist in training people on their jobs and staff follow up with the individuals, their families and employers to facilitate continued employment.
