Description

Provides direct supervision of Training Specialists and Assistant Training Specialists; coordinates coverage for meetings and schedules for substitute Training Specialists for absent employees; schedules, assigns and monitors production flow and quality control Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates training programs; monitors training and work settings to ensure safe environment; ensures staff are providing services to employees and clients in accordance with Individual Plans; evaluates employee performance; provides employee training Screens, interviews and recommends applicants for hire; recommends assignments, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, grievance resolutions and other personnel actions; develops, prepares and reviews records and reports including client/employee documentation/data and correspondence as required; ensures standards are applied regarding maintenance of schedules and quality control; determines need and requests necessary equipment, supplies and materials; participates in Individual Plan meetings as needed Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations; participates on special committees and projects; provides information and assistance to families, businesses and other organizations Arranges for transportation for employees as needed; may perform delegated nursing tasks and/or procedures Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work or related field; two years experience in field of mental retardation; must be able to lift, bend, push and pull up to 50 pounds LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Adult Services Certification/Management 2 - Ohio Department of MR/DD; valid Ohio Driver's License - Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles
