Description

Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes, polishes and renews floors; cleans and shampoos carpets and rugs; dusts, washes and cleans furniture, walls, fixtures, windows and glass; empties and cleans trash receptacles; cuts grass, cleans sidewalks and performs other groundskeeping duties Paints or assists in painting building interiors and exteriors, equipment, furniture, fixtures and outbuildings Replaces, repairs and maintains various plumbing equipment such as water and sewage lines, sink, faucets, toilets and pipes Replaces, repairs and maintains various electrical and mechanical equipment such as light fixtures, electrical outlets, switches, appliances, pumps and vans Replaces and repairs doors and windows, floors, walls, furniture, locks and other equipment Initiates repairs or modifications to building, signs or equipment to insure the safety of the inhabitants and efficiency of operation Distributes and maintains availability of supplies throughout the building; maintains an inventory reflecting supplies used/needed Drives county vehicles to accomplish pick-ups and deliveries of equipment, materials personnel or students; loads, unloads, assembles and moves equipment, furniture or supplies Performs duties of the Building Maintenance Foreman for short periods in the absence of the same Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent; two years experience in Building Maintenance preferred; must be able to lift, bend, push and pull up to 50 pounds LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Valid Ohio Driver's License - Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles
