Description

Maintains floors, sweeps, mops, strips, waxes, polishes and renews floors; cleans and shampoos carpets and rugs Paints or assists in painting building interiors and exteriors, equipment, furniture, fixtures and outbuildings Dusts, washes and cleans furniture, walls, fixtures, windows and glass Replaces lighting fixtures, bulbs and switches; performs installation and minor repair of simple electrical or mechanical equipment; assists in the installation of simple electrical or mechanical equipment Performs minor repairs of sinks, toilets, faucets, pipes and drains; assists in the repair of other plumbing equipment Empties and cleans trash receptacles Initiates repairs or modifications to building, practices or equipment to insure the safety of the inhabitants and efficiency of the operation Cuts grass, trims hedges/shrubbery and trees; rakes leaves; plants trees and flowers; removes snow and ice from driveway and sidewalks; performs minor repairs of grounds equipment Drives county vehicles to accomplish pick-ups and deliveries of equipment, materials, personnel or students; loads, unloads and moves equipment, furniture or materials Distributes supplies; maintains availability of supplies throughout the building; maintains an inventory reflecting supplies used/needed Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent; one year experience in building maintenance preferred; must be able to lift, bend, push and pull up to 50 pounds LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Valid Ohio Driver's License - Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles
